Product Description

Primer is essential when painting outdoor metallic items that are likely to corrode. For example outdoor furniture, wrought iron gates and fencing.  If it isn’t used the topcoat may fail within a short space of time and start to bubble or peel.

FUZE Products Grey Primer has been developed for use on all metal substrates and wood. Its cutting edge, anti-corrosive formulation is quick-drying and can be used inside and out.

Unlike other products, our primer is solvent-free and non-flammable. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and has been extensively tested in a salt spray chamber.

Instructions for Use

  1. Remove loose rust with a wire brush or light sanding
  2. Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Use a product such as Fuze EcoCleaner to ensure a dirt-free surface. Any existing paint requires removal, Biostrip 20 can be used for this.
  3. Stir Primer before use
  4. Apply Ferprime Grey Primer with a clean paintbrush – 1 litre should cover approx 10 square metres (depending upon the surface)
  5. Allow a minimum of 2 hours to dry before applying another coat.
  6. Once dry apply a second coat of Ferprime Grey Primer.
  7. Apply the desired topcoat after 16-24 hours
NOTE – Do not apply at temperatures below 10ºC. To avoid sagging to not over apply. Replace the lid after use.
